Topic Brainstorming

Kamadeva, The God of Love:

This article was very interesting to me. I do not know much about this story but I know that it involves love and love is something that comes easily to me to talk about. The other part that drew me in was the god riding a chicken with a bow and arrow. I thought it was cute and funny. I would like to learn how he became the god of love and how he uses his abilities.

Epic Heroes:

This story took my interest because of the title. It sounds like a brave man about to battle. I also enjoy a good battle story/movie. I'm interested in learning all the characters and how their characters make an impact on the story. War stories are fun to re-tell because you can make it funny or more entertaining and so on. This article about Indian writers GreatIndiaEpics, was interesting and had 10 great stories.

Yoga:

I was shocked by what I read, I was thinking yoga was only a workout and did not realize all the things it contains. I decided to click on yoga and read more about it. The goals of yoga really impressed me. Some were: "
  1. Yoga, as a disciplined method for attaining a goal;
  2. Yoga, as techniques of controlling the body and the mind;
  3. Yoga, as a name of one of the schools or systems of philosophy (darśana);
  4. Yoga, in connection with other words, such as "hatha-, mantra-, and laya-," referring to traditions specialising in particular techniques of yoga;
  5. Yoga, as the goal of Yoga practice."YogWik"
I thought this was crazy because in America we just think of yoga as a workout and not as part of our actions and character.

Uloopi: The Naga Princess who Fell in Love with Arjuna:
This story seems like an epic battle and a love story, and those two words spark my imagination. I like it would be fascinating to read about this drama and how it will play out. I would like to change characters and maybe even how it all unfolds.  The character Arjuna, has taken my interest from the very beginning of the semester and I hope to learn more about him.
