Many men had to fight for a woman's womb. This is why laws on marriage happened. Men are not as many men are needed for reproduction. Woman killed their men after being used. If they wanted to live they had to castrate themselves. 
Virgin does not mean the same thing as it does today. It is a woman who is ready to have children. Usually, women were "whores". They could freely choose who to have sex with. Since then times and definitions have changed.

Susan: Welcome everyone I am Susan and thank you for taking my tour bus to the Great Burning of the Lac Palace. We will see many things along the way but our first stop is here.  Hey guys where is everyone from?
